Verizon's V CAST Mobile TV now available in South Florida

Jul 03, 2009 (M2 EQUITYBITES via COMTEX) -- US wireless communications company Verizon Wireless plans to launch its V CAST Mobile TV service in South Florida on 3 July, the company announced on Friday.

V CAST Mobile TV from Verizon Wireless is provided by FLO TV live mobile TV service from FLO TV Incorporated, a wholly owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq:QCOM).

V CAST Mobile TV offers high-quality video from the best of broadcast and cable TV 24 hours a day, including the 'Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien', 'CSI: NY', 'Quiero Mis Quinces', 'Penguins of Madagascar', 'Price Is Right' among others.



Verizon's V CAST Mobile TV is currently available on the Samsung u620, LG 9400, LG Voyager, LG Voyager Titanium, Motorola z6tv, & Motorola Krave handsets.

Verizon said that it has invested nearly USD2.0bn in Florida in ongoing network enhancements that are separate from the launch of V CAST Mobile TV.
