Verizon's Asia-Pacific push will set it against Telstra

Nov 07, 2012 (The Age - ABIX via COMTEX) -- John Harrobin, chief marketing officer of US-based telco Verizon, has outlined its plans to become a major provider in the Asian region. This will create added competition for the business assets in that part of the world of Australian-listed Telstra, while small enterprises from Australia expanding into Asia will also be targeted as potential clients by Verizon. The group sees opportunities in the growth of internet-supported cloud computing services.
