Verizon Wireless adds cell site in Prince George County

Jan 05, 2009 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) --
Verizon Wireless, a US mobile network operator and a joint venture
between Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ) and Vodafone (NYSE:VOD)
(LSE:VOD), has expanded its network with a new cell site in Prince
George County, Virginia, USA.
According to the company, the new cell site improves coverage along
I-95 in the area between Templeton and Stoney Creek.


The company said it spent USD300m to enhance services and coverage
throughout Virginia, Washington, DC, and Maryland in 2007, bringing
total network investment in the region to over USD1.8bn since 2000.
