Verint Earns Top Honors for Situational Awareness Solution


Verint® Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: VRNT) today announced that it has been honored with a platinum-level Government Security Award (Govie) for its Situational Awareness solution, an open, scalable software solution that integrates with a multitude of sensors to help increase situation management and security efficiency. The award, presented by industry trade publication Security Products, recognizes outstanding products that address security and operational challenges in the government market.

A panel of expert judges selected the solution based on its unique features, innovation, design, technical advances, interoperability, scalability, user friendliness, market opportunity and impact to the security industry.

In addition to the Security Products award, the Verint (News - Alert) Situational Awareness solution was named a 2015 money-saving solution winner by BUILDINGS magazine. Winners of this distinction were selected from more than 160 submissions based on their ability to help streamline operations for facilities managers and building owners.

Verint's solution unifies a wide range of sensors and systems into a centralized, intuitive security and situational awareness solution. As a centralized software solution, it can compile information from up to tens of thousands of sensors and systems, including communication systems, access control, panic alarms, intrusion detection, fire detection, building maagement systems, IP cameras, video analytics, existing investments and various external databases. It also can incorporate information on radar, weather, identity systems, traffic violations and information from mobile phone sensors. Additionally, its GIS-referenced visual database links sensors, maps and events to help users comply with standard operating procedures.
