VCOMM signs master UK distribution agreement with Extricom
Mar 09, 2010 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) --
Coms, a UK-based company engaged in the development of internet telephony services, has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary VCOMM, has signed a master UK distribution agreement with Extricom, a manufacturer of wireless LAN system, to distribute its next generation of wireless switches.
Taffy Johal, sales director of VCOMM, said: "One of the things that has been holding back widespread adoption of VoWLAN solutions is the lack of reliable, resilient wireless infrastructure that will support any mobility requirement. Extricom's switches will help our channel partners to develop high quality WiFi networks for their clients to not only connect notebooks but also products such as the iPhone."
Gideon Rottem, CEO of Extricom, said: "Our multi-layer wireless LAN is a highly technologically differentiated solution that has an outstanding field record in support of IPT and FMC deployments. Our partnership with VCOMM, a well-established vendor in this market space, will create tremendous opportunities for both companies."
