UPS Opens New Contract Logistics Facility Bolstering Capacity in Thailand


(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 19 September 2014 Release date- 17092014 - Bangkok - UPS (NYSE: UPS) announced the opening of its newest contract logistics facility in Amphur Sungnoen, Nakhonratchasima Province.

The facility is dedicated to Seagate Technology and offers small package delivery, freight and contract logistics services, and technology solutions that together demonstrate the value of a fully integrated logistics solution.

Situated next to Seagate's Korat plant, the facility is a contract logistics warehouse that will operate around the clock and double its existing storage capacity. Designed to operate as a one-stop service point for Seagate, their customers and suppliers, it is equipped with a UPS warehouse management system to ensure Seagate's production lines operate efficiently. Beyond Thailand, UPS currently manages contract logistics services for Seagate throughout Asia, with major operations in Singapore and China.
