Upgrade Alert for Level 3 Communications (LVLT)

Mar 08, 2013 (SmarTrend(R) Upgrades/Downgrades via COMTEX) -- Level 3 Communications (NYSE:LVLT) was upgraded from Underperform to Market Perform at Raymond James today. The stock closed yesterday at $21.37 on volume of 4.7 million shares, above average daily volume of 1.9 million. Level 3 Communications share prices have moved between a 52-week high of $27.99 and a 52-week low of $16.36 and closed yesterday at 31% above that low price at $21.37 per share. In the last five trading sessions, the 50-day moving average (MA) has fallen 0.9% while the 200-day MA has slid 0.3%.

Potential upside of 19.0% exists for Level 3 Communications, based on a current level of $21.37 and analysts' average consensus price target of $25.44. Level 3 Communications shares should first meet resistance at the 200-day moving average (MA) of $21.54 and find additional resistance at the 50-day MA of $22.78.

Level 3 Communications, Inc. provides telecommunications and information services, including local, long distance, and data transmission. The Company also provides other enhanced communications and Internet services, and is involved in coal mining businesses.
