Update for Syspine VoIP Phone System Now Available

RENO, Nev., July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The much-anticipated feature update for Quanta Computer's Syspine(R) Digital Operator Phone System has arrived, as the Microsoft(R) Response Point(TM) Service Pack 1 (SP1) is now available.

Syspine, an advanced IP phone system designed for small businesses with up to 50 employees, was created for ease of use, low costs and integration with other technologies. It features a powerful voice-recognition system that can be linked with a company's internal phone directory, as well as an individual's Microsoft Office Outlook(R) address book.

Response Point SP1 provides the following advanced features to Syspine: SIP trunking for external VoIP calling and DID number (Direct Inward Dial) support, call history view, click to call (the ability to call any contact by clicking on his/her name in the Assistant software located on your computer), customizable call park music (customers can specify their own call park music or message), call status (allows users to see call status of others in the organization), call restriction per phone, and a device firmware upgrade tool (a function that upgrades firmware of all phones at the same time).

Syspine is also enriched with the addition of call waiting, do not disturb, headset mode, personal ring tone, speed dial and call history redial (includes missed, received and dialed calls).

"This is a day we've been anticipating for several months," said Mike Yang, Vice President of Quanta Computer, Inc. "Service Pack 1 is an impressive update that we think all Syspine users will really embrace. It is easy to download and introduces features that are user-friendly and quite practical."

To install SP1, Syspine users must first upgrade their SP1 software at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=402CDC7C-700C-4B97- A47F-2442E06F90EE&displaylang=en (due to length of URL, please copy and paste into browser) before logging onto http://www.syspine.com/download/sp1.html to download the Syspine firmware. New Syspine purchases will have the update pre-loaded.

The Syspine Digital Operator A50 base unit is an all-in-one device embedded with an analog terminal adapter (ATA) and a security gateway for Internet connections. Syspine connects up to eight standard telephone lines and features a high-end, server-grade, fan-less design that can be installed anywhere (desktop, upright, wall mount). The IP-310 phones come in two colors and are Power over Ethernet ready. For more information on Syspine, visit http://www.syspine.com/ .
