UNITED STATES : MobileDemand inks reseller partnership deal with Elecdata [TendersInfo (India)]
(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) MobileDemand, a leading provider of rugged tablet PC systems, has inked a reseller partnership deal with Electronic Data Solutions (Elecdata), a leading provider of ruggedized equipment used in field data collection.
Elecdata will mainly employ MobileDemand xTablet rugged tablet PC to record and administer data critical for controlling mosquitoes. Elecdata will also use MobileDemand xTablets for forestry, water resources and GPS functions.
MobileDemand xTablets are built military rugged to survive the harshness of real-world field applications. They support MIL-STD 810G and have an Ingress (Sealing) Rating of up to IP65, which proves that can endure pressured water, temperature extremes, rain, humidity, salt, sand, dust, shock, vibration and 26 consecutive drops up to 5 feet. xTablets run on Windows 7 and are powered by Intel processors. They provide hot-swappable and high capacity batteries for all-day use and a number of input options including pen-stylus, numeric keypad, on-screen or full QWERTY keyboard. They offer all-light readable displays, color cameras, and optional bar code and credit card scanners (on the xTablet T7000 and xTablet T8700). They also support WLAN and WWAN and offer GPS on some models. They also come with optional cradles, mounts and accessories.
Elecdata Mosquito Control solution utilizes a mobile GIS application for mosquito control which automates workflow processes to flawlessly collect and transfer data from the field.
