United States : MICROSOFT and DELL join hands for cloud hardware & software [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Microsoft is looking to do big cloud business in its own facilities, however it also intends to be in companies existing data centers. During Microsoft Cloud Briefing event, the company pulled the trigger on a cloud platform system in collaboration with Dell. That is a large deal from a competitive perspective, as top competitors Google and Amazon don t yet offer cloud-friendly hardware. According to Scott Guthrie, executive vice president of Microsoft s cloud and enterprise group, the hardware-software combination will be available starting next month.
