United States : IDEA Builder for Personal Printing introduced by Dremel [TendersInfo (India)]


(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) American power tool manufacturing company Dremel lately introduced its first new personal 3D printing machine: the Idea Builder.

The Idea Builder was created to permit beginners and experts alike to print three-dimensional objects on their own. It was planned to be light-weight and user-friendly.

It has a color-based touchscreen that comes with software from Autodesk. It in addition comes with free print-ready 3D models that allows users and beginners to begin 3D building in no time.

With Dremel's new printing concept, personal users will have the choice to either use the 3D printer by itself as a standalone, or connect it to their computers.

The company offers users with a user's manual and simple designing tools to assist them acquaint themselves with the 3D printing process.

Users will have the ability to store their created 3D model designs internally up to 4 GB.



Established in Illinois, Dremel is known for its rotary power tools but is now the first major tool manufacturer to release a 3D printer specifically for the mass market.

President John Kavanagh said, "Today, makers are using Dremel tools to fine-tune and fix their 3D printed creations and have been asking us to introduce a 3D printer. We're proud to offer them the Idea Builder and we can't wait to watch them build what's next .


The recently released 3D printer costs US$1000.
