UnboundID Adds Two Seasoned Executives to Management Team

UnboundID (News - Alert), a leading platform provider for identity services solutions across cloud, mobile and social applications, continued elevating its position as one of Austin's hottest growth companies with the announcement of Dave Malcolm as Vice President of Engineering and Corey Blahuta as Vice President, Controller and Principal Accounting Officer.

Malcolm will provide strategic leadership for the software development team at UnboundID, while Blahuta will assume primary responsibility for all aspects of financial management. Malcolm and Blahuta will be based at the company's Austin headquarters. This announcement comes three weeks after UnboundID unveiled a $12.5 million Series B investment that is earmarked for expansion into new markets, new industry verticals and new product development.

Malcolm brings more than 25 years of experience in high tech and enterprise software development to UnboundID. Most recently, he served as Vice President & Chief Technologist for Virtualization and Cloud at Quest, where he drove product and technology strategy. Prior to his tenure at Quest, Malcolm was CTO of Surgient, and held executive product positions with Motive Communications and Tivoli Systems. Malcolm holds a B.S. in computer science from the University of Oklahoma.

Blahuta joins UnboundID as Vice President, Controller and Principal Accounting Officer. Blahuta was previously Managing Director for vcfo in Austin. He was responsible for building the team and leading the overall management of vcfo's operations in the Austin office, in addition to managing client relationships. He brings years of experience working with companies in the enterprise software, energy, life sciences, financial services, semiconductor and telecommunications industries. Blahuta received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Baylor University.
