Ultimus Announces Significant Growth


CARY, N.C. --(Business Wire)-- Ultimus, Inc., developer of one of the most widely-deployed business process management software suites in the world, with more than 1800 customers, today announced significant revenue growth worldwide coincident with the release of the new Ultimus Adaptive BPM Suite 8.0.



Ultimus boosted revenues by 20% in the fourth quarter of 2007, with the growth coming primarily from North America, as well as Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. Recent customer wins include Norfolk Southern Corporation (NYSE:NSC), Perdue Farms, Inc., the third largest poultry company in the U.S., Children's Medical Center-Dallas Pediatric Hospital, and Penn West Energy Trust (NYSE:PWE), the largest conventional oil and natural gas-producing income trust in North America.

With an expanded product offering, Ultimus is uniquely poised to further contribute to a market estimated to reach $6.3 billion by 2011, according to industry analysts at Forrester Research (NYSE: FORR). Ultimus Adaptive BPM Suite 8.0 introduced a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) that simplifies integration and customization for rapid deployment by integrators and end users. Ultimus recently welcomed Kevin Scanlon as Director of North American Professional Services and Support. Kevin is a professional services veteran who has managed successful implementation projects with a range of organizations from Fortune 100 companies to smaller organizations. Most recently he served as Director of Professional Services for ChannelAdvisor where he managed over 4,000 global customers. His prior experience includes Coopers & Lybrand, Ernst & Young, and BusinessEdge Solutions (an EMC company).

Stephanie Slade Stone was hired as Senior Director of Marketing. Stephanie brings extensive experience in B2B marketing including innovative approaches in the use of the web. She has managed the design and marketing of over 50 websites, created collateral to build market awareness, developed market and customer segmentations, competitive positioning, and defined new routes to market. Prior to joining Ultimus, Stephanie held management and business roles with companies such as Ticketmaster CitySearch, American Express, BarnesandNoble.com, AOL Time Warner, and Merck Pharmaceuticals.
