The UC Summit Now Open to End User Companies

UCStrategies and CLP Central announced today that it is changing the format of its industry-leading UC&C industry conference, the UC Summit, and for the first time will be allowing representatives from end user organizations to attend. Organized and managed by UCStrategies, the UC Summit has been expanding and developing since 2008. The Summit was initially conceived as a way to bring together UC&C vendors, solutions integrators (SIs), consultants and industry experts in a collegial but information-rich discussion on the leading topics in the growing UC&C arena. For the first time, representatives from end user organizations are invited to attend the UC Summit in order to learn more about the UC options available and to network with peers and other attendees.

The UC Summit 2015, which will be held November 15 - 18, 2015 at the Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa, in La Jolla, California, is a unique, best-in-class invitation-only event bringing together some of the prominent thinkers in the UC&C market. This year's sponsors include many of the leading UC&C vendors including Cisco, Google (News - Alert), Interactive Intelligence, Microsoft, NEC, ShoreTel, Tata Communications, and Vonage Business.

The program is developed and managed by UCStrategies, and features general sessions, break-outs, keynotes and small vendor focus sessions that allow attendees to get insights into the key issues in the evolving UC&C universe and to talk one-on-one with vendors, consultants, industry experts and solutions integrators who are on the front lines in the move to UC.

This year's Summit will be organized as two separate, overlapping events, one for consultants and enterprise customers running from Sundy to Tuesday evening (November 15 - 17), and one for SI's and consultants running from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday evening (November 17 - 18).

UCStrategies extends invitations to 70-80 decision makers from top organizations that have been identified as key "solutions integrators" or resellers who are currently offering VoIP/UC&C converged solutions to their customers. In addition, UCStrategies invites 30-50 end-user consultants who have been identified as transitioning their practices from a data or voice focus to advising customers on UC, collaboration, social software and cloud-based solutions. This year, 60 to 80 CIOs, IT or Telecom Directors, and UC&C Project Managers will be invited to join this unique group. CMOs interested in how UC&C can help with their digital marketing programs are also invited.

"What sets the UC Summit apart is the small and intimate setting and cultivated collegial atmosphere, along with a diverse range of sessions, meals and social events, making it almost impossible not to interact with all attendees," says Blair Pleasant (News - Alert), President & Principal Analyst of COMMfusion. "And with that, having the time and the environment to be immersed in this important and developing area."

The enterprise customers attending the first part of the Summit will be nominated by the consultants or they can apply directly; all applications will be vetted by UCStrategies. This unique community of decision makers, advisors and now select enterprise customers, provides a rich context for organizing, promoting and advancing your move into UC&C.

According to Jim Burton (News - Alert), Producer of the UC Summit, "What makes this event unique is that it brings together a small group that includes many of the top UC&C vendors along with solutions integrators, consultants and UC&C industry experts for a rich and diverse program and an in-depth exchange of ideas. Each attendee application is reviewed to ensure it meets strict criteria for inclusion and that the representative has a level of responsibility and experience that will bring value to the Summit."
