Tulane University Selects Level 3 to Provide Network Services

Nov 15, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Level 3 Communications announced it has signed an agreement with Tulane University to provide network services in support of the university's business continuity infrastructure.

"We are very pleased with our relationship with Level 3. Not only does the company provide great service, but more importantly, Level 3 serves and understands the higher education community, and is able to offer services in ways that make sense for us," said Charlie McMahon, Chief Technology Officer for Tulane University, in a release. "These network services safeguard Tulane against losing connectivity to communications that are critical to the university's core mission." "Having a strong, flexible network is a cornerstone of higher education, particularly when it comes to research universities like Tulane, which are constantly sending and receiving large volumes of research, data and other content," said Andrew Crouch, Level 3's regional president of North America. "We are pleased Tulane has selected us to provide secure, dedicated network services with the reliable worldwide connectivity required for their most sensitive information."
