Trust Company of America Expands Industry-Leading Liberty Mobile Platform

DENVER --(Business Wire)--

Trust Company of America, the only independent RIA custodian offering fully integrated real-time technology, consultative services and back-office support built exclusively for RIAs, today announced the expansion of Liberty, its industry-leading technology platform.

Now all major functions, including model management, consolidated asset management and model processing and rebalancing, at the account level or across the entire book of business, are available on any piece of glass-desktop computers, tablets and mobile devices.

The expansion of functionality is aimed at accommodating the increasingly mobile lives of RIAs. "For the RIA on-the-go-from client meetings and managing reps, to conferences and everyday life events-the ability to manage their practices anywhere is essential," said Dennis Noto, Chief Technology Officer of Trust Company of America. "Liberty allows RIAs to make their business as mobile as they are."

Liberty is built with the end-user in mind, giving access to strategy and trading management, performance reporting and real-time information on a range of mobile devices and operating systems, including tablets. It seamlessly connects desktop and mobile systems, allowing for a consistent view of information for clients, advisors and reps on any computing device.

"Everything we do happens on one platform," said Noto. "We've integrated the power of TCAdvisor, our model-based trading and rebalancing platform, with the conveience of mobility to deliver an intuitive customer experience that liberates advisors from technological complexities so they can focus on building their businesses."

Throughout the rest of 2014, TCA will add new functionality to Liberty, including:

  • Streamlined account registration and e-signature
  • Enhanced block trading capabilities
  • Cross model processing
  • Expanded reporting and client communications

Seamless Transition

The transition to Liberty is seamless for RIAs and has been evolving as more functionality has been added to the web-based mobility platform. Liberty represents a break from outdated legacy systems. No longer do RIAs need to download applications to their desktop, which can only be accessed in one location. Instead, they can securely connect to essential information anytime, anywhere through any web browser.

"With Liberty, advisors don't have extra plug-ins, workarounds and multiple applications," said Noto. "In an increasingly mobile world, our platform is helping advisors manage their practices and interact directly with clients and develop stronger relationships. TCA's platform and services will be anywhere you need them to be."

TCA is also the first custodian to offer fully-customized mobile apps to its RIAs, designing and building the RIA-branded app-all at no extra charge. TCA also does all the legwork when it comes to getting the app on the shelf at the Apple, Google (News - Alert) and Microsoft app stores-not a small feat when you consider that on average 30% of apps are rejected on their first submission to the Apple app store-and provides private labeling to its RIA clients, including customized applications available on various app stores.

"We strive to be 'the advisor's cloud'-a single technology platform requiring no integration or reconciliation providing the same customer experience across devices and operating systems and personalized right down to the app," said Noto.
