The organization operates across King County, and expanded into Tacoma and Spokane this past school year. The extended five-year graduation rate is up more than 30 percentage points for students in the program. Statewide, fewer than half of all youth in foster care graduate from high school. Without a diploma and a plan for their future, they experience disproportionately high rates of poverty, homelessness, incarceration, early parenting and substance abuse. Treehouse helps 7,000 kids in foster care each year through programs that help them succeed in school, fulfill key material needs, and provide important childhood experiences every child deserves.
