Trade Old Technology for New at Newegg Revolve on April 26

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/23/14 -- Newegg today announced it is hosting Newegg Revolve, a special trade-in event on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. (PDT). During the event, Newegg customers can trade many types of used technology for Newegg Gift Cards and receive special promo codes, either online or in-person at the Newegg Hybrid Center in the City of Industry. Newegg Revolve (www.newegg.com/revolve) is a special extension of the company's ongoing trade-in initiative, as Newegg continues to raise awareness about ways to easily recycle and reuse consumer electronics. For those unable to attend the event in-person, Newegg will also host a Webex chat room from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. during the event to facilitate online trade-in appraisals. (http://bit.ly/RLKFDM) Notebooks, tablets, phones, digital cameras, video games and video game consoles are the types of items that will be accepted for trade-in. During the event, a representative from Newegg partner Buybak will evaluate donated items and issue credit, on the spot. Additionally, $50 promotional codes will be provided to customers who trade-in items for eligible Lenovo or Dell computer products. During the Newegg Revolve event at the Hybrid Center, snacks and refreshments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. "The average American household contains more than $3,000 worth of unused items, and we believe it's important to make recycling used tech easy and rewarding for our customers," said Soren Mills, Chief Marketing Officer of Newegg North America. "Our Newegg Revolve event gives people an easy way to recycle their used electronics, with the extra incentive of bonus discounts for new purchases made when recycling their old tech." Donated items must also meet Buybak's trade-in quality requirements, which can be viewed here. In the case of remote trade-ins, items can be appraised via the event's Webex chat room, but must be shipped to Newegg and evaluated by Buybak to determine final eligibility for gift cards and promotional codes. Participants must be at least 18 years old with valid, government-issued identification. Promotional codes must be used within two weeks.
