TOTO USA Launches Experiential Showroom Concept 190 in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO, March 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today TOTO USA unveils Concept 190 in San Francisco, the first experiential WASHLET studio in the world. Concept 190 will hold regularly scheduled public events throughout the year to highlight TOTO's impressive fusion of innovation, high-design and technology. In addition to events, Concept 190 acts as an outlet to explore new avenues for developing TOTO's bathroom of the future. Product research will be continually underway in the space to push innovation toward improving people's daily lives.

Complementing TOTO's innovative approach to product technology and design, Concept 190 also houses four private experiential concept bathrooms where visitors can "test drive" best-selling TOTO products NEOREST and WASHLET, the famed electronic bidet seat. With the use of moving art projections of iconic landscapes and sensors spread throughout the space, the immersive experience gives visitors the chance to try out some of the world's most technologically advanced toilet systems currently on the market in a setting that is equally as innovative.

"Concept 190 is an exciting project for TOTO USA and we're thrilled to be opening our doors in the hub of global technology, San Francisco," said TOTO USA assistant manager, WASHLET division Amy Rubinger. "TOTO has long been on the front lines of industry innovations and we are delighted to be in a city that complements our company's core spirit. San Francisco is the ideal location to show the world what the future of toilets will look like."

Concept 190 features intelligent toilets from NEOREST, TOTO's suite of intuitive bathroom products, in addition to WASHLET, a multifunctional seat with state of the art features like a heated seat, personal cleansing system, and eco-friendly electrolyzed water spray. NEOREST 750H, TOTO's best in class intelligent toilet, is armed with TOTO's market-leading flushing and cleansing technologies that effectively keep the bow clean for months at a time. WASHLET, with over 40 million units sold since the 1980 debut in Japan, is quickly becoming a staple for homes in the United States and is one of the experiences provided at Concept 190.

TOTO's new experiential WASHLET studio aims to break down the barriers of bathroom culture and help to help make people's lives cleaner, healthier, less complicated, and more beautiful. Through Concept 190, TOTO USA hopes to provide a truly unique experience unlike any other and show the public what a bathroom experience should be—a moment to relax, refresh, and regain emotional and physical well-being.

Concept 190 is located at 190 King Street in San Francisco. The space will open March 21st with an invite-only ribbon cutting ceremony and reception. One of the first events to take place at Concept 190 will be Japan's wildly popular Real Escape Game, an escape game that uses sophisticated projection-mapping technology never before used in America. Game makers SCRAP have also designed a new game, Escape from the Bathroom, which will debut at Concept 190. In this 15-minute mini-game guests will be "trapped" in a makeshift bathroom stall and solve various clues related to WASHLET in order to escape. The event starts on May 24th and tickets are available now along with more information on Real Escape Game and a full calendar of upcoming events and sign-ups at concept190.totousa.com
