Tone Introduces ReliaTel Turnkey Delivery Option for VoIP QoS and Converged Infrastructure Management
Dec 17, 2010 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
Tone Software Corp., a provider of network monitoring and management solutions for converged telecommunications and IT infrastructures, announced the immediate availability of a Turnkey delivery option for its ReliaTel VoIP quality of service (QoS) and Converged Infrastructure Management software.
Tone said its ReliaTel solution provides a platform-agnostic VoIP QoS and converged infrastructure management system in a single solution, currently available in a fully-hosted or premises-based deployment and licensing option. The new ReliaTel hybrid Turnkey model combines the best aspects of the premises-based and hosted models into a high-value business offering that provides financial, technical and business advantages for both managed service providers (MSPs) and enterprises.
According to a release, the ReliaTel Turnkey deployment physically sits within the corporate or MSP LAN environment, and includes full vendor-supplied installation, administration and support of the ReliaTel platform, as well as licensing structured into a monthly program rather than an initial outright purchase. Through this configuration, voice support teams enjoy full benefits of utilizing ReliaTel to manage their converged voice environments, without the requirement to maintain the host platform, and without the necessity of an initial capital expenditure.
Today's MSPs and enterprises are inundated with pressing business and technical issues caused by shortages of human and financial resources, which motivates them to continuously seek ways to "do more with less." Tone's new ReliaTel Turnkey offering seeks to address this situation by reducing both the human and financial impact of implementing the necessary real-time management for business-critical VoIP and converged communications services.
"MSPs and enterprises are often attracted to the financial and manpower benefits of hosted management models, but reluctant to allow their critical data to leave their environments and be collected at vendor hosting locations," said Amit Kapoor, director of strategic technology advancement, Tone Software Corp. "Because the ReliaTel hybrid Turnkey model combines a premises-based deployment with a hosted support and licensing structure, critical QoS and performance data stays securely within the enterprise or MSP LAN environment, while still providing the desired financial and manpower benefits. As a result, MSPs and enterprises can securely manage their QoS and converged network performance, while freeing up valuable financial and human resources for pressing projects."
The Company noted that the new model includes a fully manufacturer-warrantied host hardware platform with onsite manufacturer support, pre-installed host operating system and database, and the complete ReliaTel Management Application for VoIP QoS Analytics and Converged Infrastructure Management. Initial on-site deployment and training is provided by Tone Professional Services Engineers (PSEs), and all ongoing ReliaTel remote administration support is conducted by Tone's ReliaTel PSEs.
The Turnkey package is licensed and billed as an inclusive monthly fee based on the size of deployment and environment managed. This licensing option is attractive from a business perspective because it can typically be funded from a more readily available operating expense budget, eliminating the need for larger, more difficult to obtain capital budget allocations and approvals. All elements of the Turnkey solution are included in the monthly fee, including hardware, software, initial deployment and training, and ongoing ReliaTel-specific host and application administration.
"In today's economic climate, businesses and MSPs are struggling to find the financial and human resources to aggressively advance their business communications initiatives," said Shirley Balarezo, chief executive officer, Tone Software Corp. "The new ReliaTel Turnkey model is designed to deliver a high-value convergence management solution in a business model that eliminates financial and human resource barriers, empowering both enterprises and MSPs to efficiently and cost-effectively achieve their advanced communications business initiatives."
