Tom Murphy Joins Advisory Board of i2Telecom International, Inc.
ATLANTA --(Business Wire)-- i2Telecom International, Inc. ("i2Telecom(R)") (OTCBB: ITUI), a leading developer of award-winning patented and innovative high-quality mobile applications products and services, today announced that Tom Murphy has been appointed to its Advisory Board.
Mr. Murphy, age 52, served in a variety of management positions during his 22-year career with Sprint and held the position of Vice President, Consumer Sales and Sales Operations, when he retired from the wireless telecom giant in 2001. He was responsible for all consumer sales operations for the Sprint National Consumer Organization, including Sprint's Sales Centers and all vendor operations for both Voice Services and Broadband products. Mr. Murphy's management team was accountable for full operational functionality, systems, dialers, call routing/delivery, reporting, etc. He directed Marketing Operations in providing full support for new product introductions, customer fulfillment and inventory management. His responsibilities included an $80 million-plus annual expense budget, two million new accounts annually, and $1.8 billion in yearly revenue.
From December 2001 through January 2006, Mr. Murphy was the Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of DEM, LLC, a consulting and marketing organization that specialized in helping start-up and other companies define and implement business development plans, sales and marketing strategies, and efficient distribution models. His clients included Global Velocity, Anthony Robbins and Companies and DST Output, among others. His 20+ years of sales management experience allowed client companies to re-engineer sales teams, more effectively recruit talent, re-design compensation programs and incentive models, and align sales goals with corporate strategic objectives.
