Thousands of Families to Demand Enhanced School Choice in Illinois At Union Station "Whistle Stop" Event - Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 6:00 pm
CHICAGO --(Business Wire)--
More than 2,800 Chicagoans will gather at historic Union Station on
Tuesday, Jan. 29 to demand enhanced and equitable educational options
for families, organizers announced today.
The event will take place at 6:00pm in the station's Grand Hall and
feature remarks from students, teachers and parents, along with speeches
by Illinois Network of Charter Schools President Andrew Broy and
Catholic Schools Superintendent Sr. Mary Paul McCaughey.
Broy is expected to rally charter parents to support equity in funding
for the state's high-performing public charter sector while McCaughey
will focus on the need to provide greater access to private and
parochial schools to all children.
The event will mark the fifth stop of National School Choice Week 2013's

educational options for all children (www.schoolchoiceweek.com/train).
