'Tesco Mobile mulls combined mobile phone, broadband offer'

(DMeurope Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
Tesco Mobile is considering launching a combined mobile phone and
broadband offer, CEO Lance Batchelor told the Independent. Batchelor
stressed, however, that it had not decided on any details of the
product nor a launch timetable. He said the aim of the combined mobile
phone and broadband offer would be to challenge Carphone Warehouse
subsidiary TalkTalk and Virgin Mobile to become the UK's leading
telecoms services provider. Batchelor said Tesco Telecoms shops will be
installed in all Tesco Extra stores over the coming few years. Tesco

Mobile is a JV between Tesco and O2 UK.
