Telit Joins Forces with Google Cloud Platform to Accelerate Growth of the Internet of Things, Launch IoT Big Data Challenge

LONDON --(Business Wire)--

Telit Wireless Solutions, a global enabler of the Internet of the Things (IoT), today announced a collaboration with Google (News - Alert) Cloud Platform to launch the first IoT Big Data Challenge, a competition aimed at promoting and accelerating innovation around the Internet of Things.

"Our relationship with Google and the forthcoming launch of the IoT Big Data Challenge is a natural extension of our deviceWISE ecosystem, and progression of our ONE STOP. The IoT Big Data Challenge aims at harmonizing the worlds of connected devices and cloud computing in a simple and seamless fashion - bringing new opportunities for all. The collaboration between Telit and Google Cloud Platform unlocks the full potential of the Internet of Things. The IoT Big Data Challenge encourages developers to submit innovative applications with the broadest possible scope and purpose within the following catgories:

  • Business Transformation
  • Healthy and Happy Living
  • The Good of Mankind

A panel of judges will review all submissions and select winners based on innovation, commercial impact and benefits to society. The IoT Big Data Challenge is open to individuals, teams and organizations from around the globe and winning entries will be featured at events in North America and Europe.

When reviewing submissions, the judges will look at a wide range of criteria when evaluating how the application promotes and accelerates the benefits of the Internet of Things, including:
