TeleTech opens Cebu call center


(Business World (Philippines) Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) TeleTech Customer Care Management Phils., one of the country's largest call center firms, opened yesterday its first facility in Cebu province.

Part of the company's provincial expansion, the new call center facility is located in Mandaue City. The company is now looking to fill up more than 500 positions.

Job openings include agents, team leaders and other leadership positions such as language and product trainers and work force planning, quality assurance, information technology specialists and business communication specialists.

"The expansion forms part of our overall global expansion and proven dedication to customer satisfaction," TeleTech Vice-President and general manager Maulik Parekh said a statement.

Mr. Parekh added that TeleTech remains committed to developing the local work force, communities and families.

After putting up four sites in Metro Manila, the company is keen on growing its presence in the provinces.

TeleTech's first provincial site is in Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental. The company has also expanded to Bacolod City and in Leyte, both located in the Visayas area.

Its facilities in Metro Manila are in Robinsons Big R Supercenter mall in Cainta, Rizal, Robinsons mall in Novaliches, in Bay City in Pasay City and in Fort Bonifacio Global City in Taguig, Muntinlupa.

TeleTech's Philippine operations started in 2001 and have since grown to eight facilities all over the country with over 8,000 employees.
