TeleSpecialists Reaches Partnership Milestone with Over 100 Hospitals, Demonstrates Leadership in Telemedicine Landscape

TeleSpecialists (www.tele-specialists.com), bringing real-time expertise virtually to hospitals across the U.S., is pleased to announce it is now servicing over 100 hospitals nationally in 18 states. Founded in 2014 as a telemedicine company, TeleSpecialists helps facilities build custom TeleStroke and TeleNeurology programs within the infrastructure of their hospitals utilizing existing EMR and Computerized Physician Order Entry, driving lean implementation of a first-rate telemedicine program and providing ongoing access to experienced, high-quality specialists.

"We're proud to be growing our relationships, and with over 3,500 consults per month, we're confident we're making a difference in our communities and patients' lives," said CEO Dr. Nima Mowzoon, MD MBA.

The Company has also been at the forefront of xciting technical advancements. Using a cutting-edge telemedicine platform, ambulance crews can now access expert TeleSpecialists neurologists, who can see potential stroke patients en route to the hospital.

"Once we receive the call, we can have a neurologist on screen, or in this case a tablet, evaluating a patient within minutes. Now that we have access to patients in ambulances, this critical evaluation period of those experiencing stroke-like symptoms can take place even faster," said Dr. Amanda Avila, Chief Medical Officer of TeleSpecialists.

Once the patient is admitted, the same neurologist can have continued access to the patient, ensuring appropriate, uninterrupted care. TeleSpecialists has partnered with hospitals in states across the U.S. to ensure the utmost quality of specialty care is available to anyone, especially crucial in stroke cases. Demand for stroke treatment is growing significantly; on average, every 40 seconds someone in the U.S. has a stroke, and TeleSpecialists' virtual networks have proven to provide superior care through improved access and outcomes with reduced cost.

Reflective of its growth, the Company is preparing to service hospitals in five new states and recently moved into a larger office location (9110 College Pointe CT, Fort Myers, FL) to accommodate its developing staff. A key addition to the team is Director of Business Development, Suzanne Meert. The Company has grown out of a collaboration of multiple Board Certified physicians, neurologists, nurses and critical care providers. Over time, TeleSpecialists has continued to expand in physician workforce, service lines, and hospital endpoints, with a primary focus of quality patient care and customer service, guaranteeing 24/7/365 neurology consultations.
