TELES unveils new VoIPBOX with 8 BRI interfaces
TELES, the Berlin based Next Generation Networks (News - Alert) and Access Gateway vendor, has enhanced its ISDN VoIP Gateway portfolio with a new 8 BRI port VoIP Gateway. The product has been designed to meet demand for a high density, high performance solution for connecting enterprises to public telephony.
With the introduction of the new product, VoIP service providers and system integrators addressing business customers can offer a broader range of customers a straightforward migration path to VoIP without having to sacrifice existing investment in PBX (News - Alert) infrastructure. As well as contributing to a substantial reduction in operating costs, the TELES VoIPBOX BRI also provides enhanced functionality, including an integrated, feature-rich IP PBX-in-a-box, advanced LCR functionality with AOC generation, SRTP protocol support, alongside multiple media handling features.
The VoIPBOX BRI is designed for a smooth and fast installation and is provided with an intuitive installation wizard for increased productivity. A comprehensive set of management tools allow customers to provision and operate small to large installations from a single location using either a web-based management tool or TELES (News - Alert) NMS.

TELES VoIPBOX products
TELES VoIPBOX products are available with up to 6 PRI or 8 SW configured NT TE BRI ISDN interfaces. All VoIPBOX products support SIP and H.323 VoIP signaling, leveraging leading DSP technology enabling customers to select multiple LBR coders, RTP multiplexing for limited BW installation, DTMF detection and fax support using T.38, as well as QoS and traffic shaping. In conjunction with routing functionality, the internal registrar enables service continuity even when SSW is not available. Web-based management provides for the local and remote management of small installations, while TELES NMS can be used to provision for large installations.
