Tele2 completes network modernization in all Baltic countries [EMBIN (Emerging Markets Business Information News]

The modernization of the Tele2 mobile network is the company’s largest investment and mobile network infrastructure upgrade in the Baltics to date. Tele2 has successfully completed the modernization of the mobile network in Latvia last year, in Lithuania this past spring, and now the project has come to completion in Estonia. Tele2 has invested a total of EUR 50 million in attaining the objective of the project – create the most up-to-date mobile network in the Baltic countries.



Tele2’s most up-to-date mobile network in the Baltics has been developed in co-operation with Nokia Networks. During the project, Tele2 adopted the latest technologies for its mobile network and existing base stations, as well as built 540 new sites. Tele2 mobile network, the most up-to-date mobile network in the Baltic countries, provides high-quality voice communications and fast mobile Internet, including 4G services.
