Telarix Marks Successful 2008 and Announces New Additions to Its Senior Management Team

VIENNA, Va. --(Business Wire)--

Telarix, Inc., the leading provider of business information exchange and interconnect OSS/BSS solutions for content providers, IP service providers and global fixed and mobile operators, today announced that it achieved 2008 sales growth of 30 percent over 2007 and promoted Glen Kazerman as Chief Operating Officer; Hung Vu, Executive Vice President Product Development and Support; and Mark Hatam, Senior Vice President Product Management as part of the company's overall market growth strategy.

Telarix, which was named to the Inc. 5000 as one of the fastest growing companies in the United States, attributed its 2008 growth to the continued success and market leadership of the company's two business lines, iXTools® and iXLink®. Telarix's iXTools is a powerful suite of software modules that provides carriers with an end-to-end management and optimization solution for their interconnect business. Eight of the world's ten largest telecom providers now depend on iXTools to manage their interconnect business.

iXLink, Telarix's second line of business, is a global business information exchange service for the telecom community. Created in conjunction with a number of the world's leading telecom providers, iXLink reduces the costs and complexities associated with interconnection including the purchase and sales processes; international dial code management; billing; invoice validation; and settlement. Today, the service is used by more than 300 carriers in 70 countries to exchange business information. In 2008, iXLink was recognized as the Best New Service in Telecommunications by The International Business Awards (IBA) and received accolades from several industry analysts including Stratecast and Yankee Group.

Last year, Telarix also saw rapid adoption of its solutions by mobile operators as the growth in the number of mobile carriers, in parallel with the increase in global traffic to mobile destinations, has compounded the complexity of managing a carrier's international business. Of particular significance was the certification of iXLink by the GSM Association (GSMA) and NeuStar (NYSE: NSR) as part of a carrier ENUM initiative called PathFinder™. The innovative service translates phone numbers into IP-based addresses enabling mobile users to initiate a wide range of IP-based communications via their existing phone numbers.

To build upon Telarix's track record of product innovation and high rate of customer satisfaction, the company has also made several additions to its executive team. Glen Kazerman, who was Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Telarix, has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. A seasoned executive with more than 20 years experience in sales, marketing and business development, Glen will oversee the day-to-day operational management of the company.

Hung Vu, who joins Telarix as Executive Vice President of Product Development and Support, will lead the efforts of building out and supporting innovative solutions specifically designed to address the newest challenges facing international carriers such as mobile number portability, dial code management, SMS rating, VoIP and quality of service management. Before joining Telarix, he led Product Engineering and merger/acquisition due-diligence efforts at Plateau Systems and was responsible for its award winning enterprise-class Talent Management suite. Hung was recognized by The Washington Post and Techway magazine in their Top Ten High-Tech Bosses in the Washington D.C. area (2001) and is a current member of the Washington Area CTO Round-table.

In his new role as Senior Vice President of Product Management, Mark Hatam will oversee the product roadmap as well as ensure optimal product positioning, market share and timely delivery of Telarix's high value SaaS and licensed interconnection solutions. Mark joined Telarix in 2001 and has over 21 years of telecom and IT experience in product management and development of OSS and BSS solutions for the industry. Prior to joining Telarix, he held several senior management positions in engineering, and marketing with leading telecom carriers including MCI, Bell Atlantic, Teligent and Winstar.

"Telarix's commitment to delivering innovative solutions while providing superior customer care and support to our customers has been key to our success in 2008," said Don Lynch, CEO of Telarix. "With new offerings planned in 2009 and the welcome additions to our existing senior management team, Telarix is well positioned for continued growth and success in the new year."
