Tektronix Communications to acquire Arbor Networks


Aug 10, 2010 (Datamonitor Financial Deals Tracker via COMTEX) -- Tektronix Communications, a provider of communications test and network intelligence solutions, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Arbor Networks, Inc., a provider of network security and management solutions for converged carrier networks and data centers. Both the companies are based in the US.



Earlier, Arbor Networks had secured a venture funding from Thomas Weisel Venture Partners, Battery Ventures, Cisco Systems, Inc., Comcast Interactive Capital, SAIC Venture Capital Corporation, Ironside Ventures, LLC and EDF Ventures.

The acquisition is expected to close in September 2010.
