TCS gets listing on Navy DADMS

(United Press International Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The U.S. Navy has added an automated lockdown technology from Trusted Computer Solutions Inc. to the Application and Database Management System list.

U.S. company TCS announced its Security Blanket automated lockdown interface has been selected for the Navy's DADMS list authorizing the technology for use within the Department of the Navy.

TCS' Security Blanket, an interface using predefined profiles for "automating industry-standard best practices for hardening Linux and Solaris," was placed on the DADMS list after meeting Navy compliance requirements, a news release said.

"Being named to the DADMS list is an important step in our ongoing efforts to provide organizations within the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps a solution that assesses their level of security against industry standard security guidelines and then automatically configures their operating systems to a state of lock down," Ed Hammersla, TCS chief operating officer, said in a statement.

"Security Blanket is easy to use and can provide significant time and cost savings while increasing the productivity of an organization's system administration resources." Copyright 2009 by United Press International
