TCG Customer Named Federal 100 Award Winner

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Washington, DC (PRWEB) February 14, 2012 TCG, a leading government technology strategy and IT consultancy, announced today that Christopher Friedline, program manager of one of the government programs that the company supports, has been named a 2012 Fed 100 awards winner. The awards, which are sponsored by Federal Computer Week, recognize 100 individuals in government and industry who have played pivotal roles in the federal IT community. This year's winners, chosen by a select panel of government and industry leaders, include 23 from industry, 1 from state/local government and 76 from the federal government. The list includes 51 people in civilian agencies and 25 in the defense sector.

Mr. Friedline and the other awardees will be honored at a gala on March 28 at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C. Full profiles of the winners will be published in the March 30 issue of Federal Computer Week, and on FCW.com.

Mr. Friedline leads the Department of the Treasury/Bureau of the Public Debt Budget Formulation and Execution Manager (BFEM) program which, with the help of TCG, has transformed 13 agencies’ paper-based budgeting processes into a purely electronic workflow that is saving taxpayer dollars while improving the accuracy, agility, and quality of budget submissions. Mr. Friedline has ultimate responsibility for customer satisfaction, financial control, and programmatic success. He oversees a team of budget and IT professionals who work with agency customers to comprehend, service, and improve the budget formulation process. Through his innovative and entrepreneurial work, he has reduced duplicative investments by $14.4m and improved government efficiency. He provides a shining example of exemplary public service: doing the right thing right, even though it’s far from the easiest option. TCG supports the BFEM program with a range of services, including program management, business analysis, program implementation, systems architecture and development, and operations and maintenance.

“Chris is a prime example of a government executive who knows how to make things run efficiently and in a cost-effective manner,” said TCG President Daniel Turner. “This award is richly deserved. It’s been a pleasure to work for Chris, and we look forward to continuing to support him and BFEM in the years to come.” About TCG TCG (http://www.tcg.com) is an award-winning small business that specializes in tailored information technology solutions and consulting services with a particular focus on grants management, collaboration platforms, and budget formulation and execution.
