Systems Made Simple Selects Charles De Sanno as VP of Health IT Strategy [Professional Services Close - Up]


(Professional Services Close - Up Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Systems Made Simple has appointed Charles De Sanno as its new Vice President of Health IT Strategy.

In its release, Systems Made Simple said that De Sanno comes to the Company from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), where he served as Executive Director for VA Enterprise Systems Engineering since 2006. Having many years of experience in directing healthcare- related information technology (IT) design and management, De Sanno's new role will help ensure that Systems Made Simple's health IT strategy remains competitive.

De Sanno began working for the VA in 1989 as Director of Healthcare Information Systems and Operations at the Brooklyn Medical Center. He held many executive positions over the course of his 25 year VA career, overseeing an IT staff of more than 6,300 employees and designing and operating one of the world's largest IT infrastructures, including 400,000 desktop computers, thousands of servers, more than 175 computing centers and a telecommunications infrastructure supporting more than 300,000 employees.
