Synygy Puts Retailer on Track to Generate Additional Sales and Control Costs
CHESTER, Pa. --(Business Wire)--
Synygy,

today announced that the company has completed the implementation of its
SCM software at a top North American broadline retailer to manage
commissions for 40,000 sales associates with expectations for future
expansion.
Prior to partnering with Synygy, the retailer utilized a homegrown
mainframe application and several desktop workarounds to manage the tens
of thousands of item-level commission rates on daily sales transactions,
which neared two million transactions per day during peak sales seasons.
These inflexible systems stifled attempts to improve sales performance
because:

on marked down products

commissions could not be easily increased to incent the sale of
bundled or add-on products

processing was limited to a weekly timeframe, which left little time
