Synchronica secures USD101,400 deal with African operator

(EquityBites Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) UK-based mobile e-mail and data synchronisation provider Synchronica plc (LSE:SYNC) declared on Friday the receipt of a purchase order valued at USD101,400 from a mobile operator in North Africa.

The contract is for installation of Synchronica's mobile e-mail product Mobile Gateway and an initial 10,000-user licence. The agreement also includes ongoing professional services.

The unnamed mobile operator customer is said to be part of a larger group which has several operations in Central Africa. Synchronica is in talks with other subsidiaries of the group and expects to make further announcements in the future.

The mobile operator will use Synchronica's Mobile Gateway technology to offer a push mail and mobile synchronisation service to its subscribers.
