Switzerland : SITA to offer telecommunications services for TURKISH AIRLINES [TendersInfo (India)](TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Under a multi-million dollar renewal deal, air transport IT specialist SITA will offer telecommunications services for Turkish Airlines 120 outstations across the globe. SITA will serve as the carrier s only network services provider worldwide for seven further years, connecting the carrier s outstations, departure control systems and passenger service systems. Our primary aim is to become one of the most preferred air carriers by continuing to upgrade and improve the passenger experience. To do that, we primarily need to ensure excellent communications among all our sites to further enhance the satisfaction of our customers. We ve partnered with SITA for more than 15 years because they offer us high-quality, high-availability telecom coverage for all our outstations and back that up with excellent service and support, said Ahmet Bolat, chief investment and technology officer of Turkish Airlines. SITA will deliver various telecommunications services for Turkish Airlines, including IP VPN, which eases IP connectivity among the carrier s main hubs and virtual private network from anywhere across the globe, and AirportHub, which delivers network access through WAN communication and IT infrastructure at airports. Turkish Airlines will also take advantage of Express IP, an IP connection for customers of shared equipment at airports, and SITA s Integrated Performance Reporting Service. Turkish Airlines is a rapidly expanding airline, and SITA s high-quality, high-availability network will help provide a solid foundation for continued growth.
