SurferNETWORK Announces Progress on Patent Infringement Suit Against XM/Sirius Involving Fundamental Streaming Technology
FLANDERS, N.J. --(Business Wire)-- As previously reported, SurferNETWORK has initiated a patent infringement lawsuit against XM/Sirius for infringement of SurferNETWORK's Patent #6,766,376, "Streaming Media Buffering System."
Lawsuit Details
The case is pending in U.S. Federal Court, in the Southern District of NY (Case Number 1:08-cv-6357) before Judge Richard M. Berman and Magistrate Judge Michael H. Dolinger. SurferNETWORK expects the case to progress rapidly. A Pre-Trial Conference is scheduled for this Thursday, October 16, 2008 with discovery set to close in February 2009.
