SuiteLinq Launches IPVOD Solution at Philadelphia's New Palomar Hotel

Palomar Hotel, Philadelphia's newest boutique property, recently opened its doors in the heart of the city's shopping and dining area.
Guests in all 242 rooms at the hotel, the first location in Philadelphia by parent company Kimpton Hotels, will utilize entertainment service from SuiteLinq, Inc. The Exton, PA, based provider of broadband and on-demand solutions for hospitality and extended-stay environments is Kimpton's service provider for a variety of on-site technology and related services.
Their SuiteVOD service delivers the latest Hollywood releases, music, concerts, and more in standard and high definition formats. Guests can use the remote control to access a variety of interactive hotel information and guest services content via an attractive, custom-branded interface that reflects the ambience of the hotel while giving guests quick access to a variety of entertainment features.
At Palomar Hotel, SuiteLinq is delivering SuiteVOD via a solution that provides Video-On-Demand content to the in-room televisions via wireless. Known as IP-VOD, the company noted, the benefits of this development to the hospitality industry include eliminating extensive cabling, providing greater flexibility to deliver services anywhere, anytime throughout the property, and minimizing disruptive retrofitting after the hotel is in operation. It also gives hotels the ability to deliver digital signage and other value-added services in public areas on-demand.
