IRVINE, CA-Dec 8, 2008 - Hop-on, Inc. announced recently that its HOP1890, the ChitterChatter for seniors, is now available for the recent administration's call for new technology.

On Sunday, President Elect Obama announced that his "First Presidential order of business is to put people to work rebuilding the nation's infrastructure." In his speech, he indicated the stimulus plan is not to build traditional infrastructure, but to spend money on "Energy Efficiency, School Construction, Laying Broad Band Lines and Medical Information Technology in order to drive down costs."

The ChitterChatter phone provides GPS/Enhanced Location-Based-Services. This locator phone provides a unique way for seniors and those with special medical needs to stay connected and be in contact with one another. The consumer's medical history will be entered into a database when setting up the account and there will be a 24/7 call center where operators can make calls.

The advance in software and technology to create this immediate emergency response system, through one of the most carried personal items for all ages, is a long awaited necessity for both the medical field and the aging. In addition to the most important factor of lives being saved, the demand for call centers and emergency response teams will be increased, thus stimulating the economy.

Hop-on President and CEO, Peter Michaels said, "Every consumer with medical needs should have this technology. It is affordable and costs less than one hour's time for a hospice caretaker or nurse. Hop-on will make a pitch to Congress to give this phone away to seniors on Medi-Cal, so if an emergency happens, they will have the patient's information, location, and nearest medical services, with the touch of one button. The HOP1890 is equipped with a panic button located on the back of the phone."

Michaels continued, "During the phone's initial setup, the consumer will enter their choice of emergency contact. In the event of an emergency, once the panic button is pushed, this emergency contact is called immediately and an operator will remain on the line, hands free, until help arrives. There are situations that can literally mean the difference between life and death. Efficient communication and the ability to locate your loved one in that moment can save a helpless elder or child's life."

For the GPS feature, parents or caretakers simply use the Internet or any phone with SMS capabilities to quickly identify the location of the device in approximately 1 minute. The ChitterChatter Phone allows seniors and kids to stay in touch with close family and friends, or send their location with the touch of a button.

The HOP1890, a Dual-band 850/1900MHz in the U.S. or 900/1800MHz for Europe, offers 300 minutes of talk time and 300 hours of standby time. With a large, bright screen and large text that is easy to read and dial, making calls is easier than ever. The HOP1890's specific features are designed for the ease of usage by seniors.
