STEP Labs Receives SPIFFY Award Nomination Global Carriers Recognize the Importance of STEP Labs' Software for High Quality Voice

San Jose, CA, Feb 24, 2009 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- STEP Labs(TM) has been nominated by the 25 global carriers in the Telecom Council for the SPIFFY Award(TM) for Most Innovative Start-Up. The Telecom Council of Silicon Valley's Annual SPIFFY Awards identify start-ups who will influence the telecom industry. Nominees were selected by the members of Telecom Council's Service Provider Forum (SPIF) from among the nearly 100 telecom startups who presented in Telecom Council meetings in 2008.

"STEP Labs is honored to be identified as an innovative company by the experts in telecom innovation," said Michael Hickerson, President of STEP Labs who presented to the Telecom Council twice in 2008. "This public carrier support of Step Labs' voice separation technology validates the manufacturers who put STEPware into their high-end Bluetooth headsets, fashion eyewear, and in-car speakerphones and carry the STEP OnBoard seal." STEP Labs will attend the SPIFFY Awards on February 26, 2009 in San Jose along with the members of the Service Provider Forum.
