SpringCM and Phase One Announce Partnership to Drive Cloud-Based Document Management Efficiency Within the Public Sector

SpringCM, the leading document management platform in the cloud, today announced a strategic partnership with Phase One, a global IT solutions firm with extensive experience working with Federal agencies to implement technology solutions. SpringCM has a strong record of working with the public sector to drive productivity by bringing document-centric processes to the cloud with clients that include the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Today's announcement comes just days after the U.S. House of Representatives passed the IT Modernization bill requiring government agencies to replace legacy IT systems and also provides $3.1 billion in funding. With this mandate from the Government to streamline the management of IT assets, SpringCM is well positioned to meet the requirements needed to modernize the public sector.

"Many federal employees are working with legacy software that was purchased ten, fifteen, twenty years ago and pale in comparison with features, and functionality, offered by current cloud software companies. Switching to a secure cloud-based solution allows agencies to optimize their interal processes, standardize and stay compliant with regulations and quickly find sensitive content," said Greg Buchholz, CEO of SpringCM. "Phase One is focused exclusively on the Federal sector and its customers will benefit from SpringCM's expertise in document and case management, like simplifying access of documents in a central workspace, using metatags to find documents easily, applying smart rules and advanced workflow to improve efficiency. With solutions like this, the time to value for public sector employees is measured in weeks and months instead of years with older systems. Given that the federal government spends $80 billion a year on technology, of which $9 billion is software, this sector represents a large, growing and important market for SpringCM."

Often, federal agencies grapple with slow processes for managing documents, handling records, FOIA requests, and approvals. SpringCM automates processes and workflows, eliminating paper documents and lost files. Its central repository with advanced search and workflow eliminates the need to e-mail documents, and provides a complete administrative record for ease of reporting and compliance.

"SpringCM provides a cloud solution to a legacy business problem that everyone experiences daily," said Todd Schroeder, Chief Digital Strategist of Phase One. "As a result, Phase One benefits from its powerful, integrated document management capability. The partnership will enable truly configurable digital solutions for our federal customers via a comprehensive enterprise platform."

With its focus on the federal sector, Phase One has a long history of IT implementation, IT strategy, enterprise architecture, and governance support for more than 40 federal agencies. In addition, the company helps government agencies use the Salesforce platform to not only meet federal requirements, but also accomplish business goals.
