Spicers' 960-Page Office Supply 'Big Book' Now Opens On A 'Click and Flick'; ActivePoint Helps Spicer's Roll-out FLiCKi(C); A New Interactive Online Catalogue Serving Its Vast Retail Network
LONDON & NEW YORK --(Business Wire)-- April 4, 2006 -- Spicers, the leading European wholesaler of office products is using proprietary technology from ActivePointUK (www.activpointuk.com). Spicers' customers can now browse through their 960-page 'Big Book' office supplies catalogue at 'click' speed and make online purchases at the same time.

Called the FLiCKi(C), ActivePointUK has converted Spicers' mammoth printed office supplies catalogue, utilised by customers of its vast dealer network, into an online offering using ActivePoint's proprietary EasyFlip(C) technology.

A new report from Verdict Research, part of the Datamonitor Group, has revealed that in 2005, e-retailers accounted for almost half of the cash growth in UK retail spending, with sales increasing 15 times faster than the retail average. Verdict found that one in four UK consumers now purchases goods online each year.
