Sonitrol Partners With Telular to Replace Analog Cellular Alarm Systems

(Wireless News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)
Telular announced that Sonitrol, a commercial security company, has
selected Telular to be a provider of digital cellular alarm products
and services for analog to digital upgrades and new security
installations.

Using Telular's patented technology, Telguard Digital provides primary
and backup alarm communication solutions for residential-VoIP, small
business, financial, commercial and fire system markets over the
nationwide GSM digital cellular network. Telguard Digital solutions
will help replace Sonitrol's analog (AMPS) cellular alarm units to
provide high levels of security monitoring.

"Telguard Digital provides a reliable and economical transition from
analog to digital," said Gregg Groenemann, vice president of marketing
for Sonitrol Corporation. "We selected Telular as one of our primary
partners due to its' proven technology, reliable and UL Listed
products, and excellent service and support."

"This partnership is the perfect opportunity for us to assist Sonitrol
in their analog upgrades to Telguard Digital before the FCC Sunset
Clause takes effect on February 18, 2008 as well as in supporting new
installations," said Mike Boyle, president and chief executive officer
of Telular Corporation.

The impending Sunset Clause is an FCC mandate that enables cellular
providers to turn off their analog networks without consequences on or
after the date. Telular's patented technology provides cellular alarm
communication from the protected premise to its monitoring center when
the telephone line or network has been disrupted, compromised, or if no
wireline service is used.

"It is essential for any security system to maintain a reliable
communication link that sends alarm signals to the monitoring station.
With today's changing technology and the phase out of AMPS, Telular's
cellular technology is the ideal solution," added Boyle.
