Softtek Announces Continued Growth and Expansion in Global Nearshore Delivery Capabilities
NEW YORK & MONTERREY, Mexico --(Business Wire)--
Softtek,
founder of the nearshore
industry and leading global IT services provider dedicated to
maximizing the business value of applications, announced today that it
has relocated its Global Delivery Center (GDC) in Ensenada, Mexico to a
new state-of-the-art facility and has expanded its GDC in
Aguascalientes, Mexico. The announcement aligns with and celebrates the
company's positive growth trajectory in 2011.
Softtek's high-impact, cost-efficient Global Nearshore™ model utilizes
the company's nine
Global Delivery Centers to meet its clients' global IT needs. Each
center applies a "follow-the-sun" strategy, allowing customers to
interact with their projects in local time zones and on-site. The GDCs
follow a Six Sigma philosophy, maintain CMMi guidelines and, in many
cases, are process-certified in ISO, ensuring clients get the highest
level of expertise and efficiency.
Softtek's GDC in Aguascalientes will add over 500 associates and boast
two state-of-the-art training rooms - bringing the center's total
capacity to over 2,100 people. The company relocated its GDC in Ensenada
to include over 600 work stations, replacing a previous GDC of
lesser-capaity in its Baja California Center. Both GDCs service clients
throughout North America.
Softtek's Chief Operating Officer, Roberto
Montelongo, said, "Over 90 percent of our annual revenue comes from
recurring clients, including blue-chip companies across the Americas. As
we develop our existing client relationships and capture increased
market share from global competitors, Softtek's global delivery
capabilities continue to grow in response."
Softtek's new GDC capabilities signify continued growth and expansion
for the company. In 2011, Softtek increased its U.S. business by over 30
percent, marking a decade of sustained, double-digit growth since 2001.
The company will also open a new operations facility in Mexico
City with capacity for 500 associates by the end of Q1 this year,
and will relocate its GDC in Sao
Paulo, Brazil to a new state-of-the-art facility accommodating a 30%
headcount growth in 2012.
Softtek also plans to expand delivery capabilities significantly with
its first on-shore GDC in the United States in St. Louis, Missouri later
this year.
