Societe Generale Appoints Harrington Jones Chief Culture and Conduct Officer for the AmericasSociete Generale has named Nancy Harrington Jones Chief Culture & Conduct Officer for the Americas, effective May 3, 2016. In this newly created position, Ms. Harrington Jones will lead the management and drive the implementation of the Bank's regional Culture & Conduct program, reporting directly to Societe Generale's CEO for the Americas, Slawomir Krupa. Ms. Harrington Jones was previously Chief Human Resources Officer for the Americas, a position she held since 2007. "The primary objective of our culture and conduct program - which is central to our Bank's ambitions - is to secure a safe, sound and profitable business that will inspire long-lasting, confident relationships with our clients, peers and employees," said Mr. Krupa. "Nancy, with her substantial expertise, knowledge of the organization and its businesses, is the ideal person to lead the effort to promote and enforce the behaviors that embody our company's values." Succeeding Ms. Harrington Jones in Human Resources, John Fitzgerald has been appointed Chief Human Resources Officer for the Americas and will report to the CEO for the Americas, Mr. Krupa. Mr. Fitzgerald began at Societe Generale in 2000 and has held several key human resources positions over his career at the Bank.
Biographies Nancy Harrington Jones is a Managing Director and the Chief Culture and Conduct Officer for the Americas. Previously, she was Head of Human Resources for SG Americas. She also serves as a member of the U.S. Executive Committee. Ms. Harrington Jones was the Chief Human Resources Officer for the Americas beginning in 2007, and prior to that was the Global Director of Human Resources for Information Technology based in Paris. She spent several years in the Information Technology Division in various management positions, in addition to working for the CFO and managing the Internal Technology Audit Team. She holds a degree from Manhattan College with a major in Computer Information Systems and a minor in Accounting. John Fitzgerald is a Managing Director and Head of Human Resources for the Americas. Mr. Fitzgerald started his career at Societe Generale in August 2000 as the HR Business Partner for Information Technology and has held several senior Human Resources positions. Most recently, he was the Human Resources Manager of Career Advisory, Compensation and Talent Acquisition. Mr. Fitzgerald has a master's degree in Management Information Systems from NYU and an undergraduate degree in Finance from Salisbury University.
