SN Rane is co-exec chairman at O&M

(Ecomonic Times, The (India) (KRT) Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) Mar. 28--MUMBAI, India -- Ogilvy and Mather (O&M) India has announced two top-level changes at its annual general meeting in Mumbai on Monday. SN Rane, chief operating officer and finance director, O&M India, has been elevated to the position of co-executive chairman, on a par with Piyush Pandey.



Further, Pratap Bose, president, Ogilvy Activation, and managing director, Kinetic (South Asia), will replace chief executive officer (India and South Asia) John Goodman, who will leave India for Ogilvy Japan, this June.

Mr Bose has spent nearly thirteen years with O&M India, during the course of which he set up Ogilvy Landscapes, O&M's outdoor arm. He went to head Ogilvy Activation, the merged entity of all of O&M's out-of-home businesses.



This January, he was appointed managing director of Kinetic, a joint out-of-home venture between Group M and O&M.Miles Young, chairman (Asia-Pacific), O&M told ET, "Pratap Bose was the perfect candidate for CEO. He's young, has great talent and huge belief, and has done exceptionally in the media space."

Piyush Pandey, executive chairman, O&M (India and South Asia), added, "With Pratap's formidable experience in activation and outdoors, we're now in a good position to provide 360-degree solutions to our clients. Between me, Pratap and SN Rane, we have a formidable team in O&M today."

Mr Young added that O&M could never be satisfied with the position that they are at currently. He said, "There are many areas of communication that are underdeveloped, and we could take a lead in new trends such as digital devices."
