SkyWest reports February traffic

(Airline Industry Information Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SkyWest Inc (Nasdaq: SKYW) has reported its combined traffic results for its subsidiaries, SkyWest Airlines and Atlantic Southeast Airlines, for February 2009.

Revenue passenger miles for the month dropped by 9.2% compared to February 2008, to 1.20bn, while available seat miles fell by 9.0% to 1.61bn, resulting in a load factor of 74.9%, a decrease of 0.1 percentage points.

Atlantic Southeast Airlines and SkyWest Airlines boarded a combined total of 2,392,329 passengers in February 2009, down 6.1% from the same month last year.
