Awards
(Wireless News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)
Pacific DataVision (PDV), a provider of wireless voice messaging,
dictation and documentation services, announced that its SkyMail
service has been selected as a finalist in the 2008 Andrew Seybold
Choice Awards.
SkyMail was chosen as one of the top four finalists in the Most
Innovative Business Application category out of 150 applicants that
applied overall to the Andrew Seybold Choice Awards.
"It is an honor that Pacific DataVision's SkyMail product is being
counted among the best in delivering innovative business applications
for the enterprise arena," said John C. Pescatore, President & CEO of
Pacific DataVision. "Being recognized by the Andrew Seybold Choice
Awards clearly validates SkyMail's strong ROI benefits. SkyMail simply
increases mobile workers productivity by reducing or eliminating the
time they spend "on-hold" while trying to communicate with their
dispatcher, call center or field office and thereby allows them more
time to perform their primary tasks. Whether those tasks are selling,
driving, delivering, repairing or installing services, SkyMail is the
fastest, and more importantly, simplest way to communicate from the
field."
PDV stated that its SkyMail is an application that enables mobile
workers to wirelessly dictate, document, and share time sensitive
information from any mobile phone via email, with their dispatch,
central office, or another mobile worker by simply using their voice.
The company stated that the solution significantly increases the speed
and accuracy of communications from the field, giving mobile workers
literally the fastest way in the world to document an event or send a
message. SkyMail's customized email subject lines like "Customer Not
Home" or "Job Completed" can be utilized to communicate the
significance of the message, allowing the recipient to act on the most
important messages first.
The award winners will be officially announced on Tuesday, April 1st
during the 18th Annual Andrew Seybold Wireless Dinner in Las Vegas,
Nevada. The awards dinner is part of the 2008 CTIA Wireless Show, one
of the largest wireless solutions conferences that brings together more
than 40,000 wireless industry professionals.
Andrew Seybold is dedicated to solving client challenges through
strategic consulting, client-specific research and analysis,
publications, speaking engagements and educational programs.
