Silicon Mechanics Named on INC Magazine List of America's Fastest Growing Private Companies

(PR Web Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) (PRWEB) October 31, 2014 Silicon Mechanics, Inc., a leading manufacturer of rackmount servers, storage, and high-performance computing clusters, announces that it has been named to Inc. Magazine's Inc.500|5000. 2014 marks the third year in a row Silicon Mechanics has placed on the annual list of America's fastest-growing private companies. The company was ranked at number 3952 on the list, with a revenue growth rate of 77% over the last three years. Silicon Mechanics was presented with the award at the Inc. 500|5000 Conference & Awards Ceremony, held October 15-17, 2014, in Phoenix, Arizona.

"Receiving this award three years in a row is a testament to the continued hard work of the Silicon Mechanics team," Silicon Mechanics' CFO Steve Wiechert said. "Being on a list of the fastest-growing companies in America has never been one of our direct priorities, but we recognized there was great potential to scale the organization, building on the strong foundation that had already been in place. We felt that this kind of organic growth could only benefit our company, our customers, and our shareholders." Silicon Mechanics is headed by CEO Eva Cherry, who has drawn on her over 20 years of experience in executive management in technology and manufacturing to usher in an era of change for the company. Under her guidance Silicon Mechanics underwent significant restructuring, and has achieved significant growth. Ms. Cherry attributes Silicon Mechanics' success to the company's ability to create a unique, personalized customer experience from consultation and design, through delivery and support. "Great people are an essential component in executing a great growth strategy. Our rate of growth is directly related to the rate at which we are able to attract the right people. Our culture is a key differentiator in that regard – a great place to work can attract and retain the very best," Ms. Cherry said.

Inc. Magazine's Inc.500|5000 list offers a comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy: America's independent entrepreneurs. Silicon Mechanics, along with other companies on the list, created a combined total of 505,000 jobs over the past three years and generated combined revenue of $211 billion.
