SAN MATEO, Calif, March 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Sierra Ventures is pleased to announce that Tim Stanley has joined the firm as a Partner, leading Business Development, Marketing, Strategic Partnerships and Programs.

Tim Stanley joins Sierra Ventures as Partner.

Stanley will work with Sierra's entrepreneurs, investors, and the strategic partners that make up the Sierra Advisory Network. In this capacity he will evolve and enhance successful programs like the Sierra CIO Summit and Strategic Advisory Board, and lead several new initiatives as part of the Sierra Ascend program.

Prior to joining Sierra Ventures, Stanley was founder and CEO of Tekexecs, and SVP of Enterprise Strategy & Industry Solutions at Salesforce.com. Tim has also held various CXO, Board of Director and other operating roles at Caesars/Harrah's Entertainment, Multimedia Games, JetBlue Airways, National Airlines, Intel, and Kimberly Clark. He began his career as a US Air Force officer.

Tim holds a joint International MBA and Management of Technology degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and Arizona State University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Washington. He develops and teaches MBA and executive level courses on business, technology, innovation and digital transformation as an adjunct professor at the University of California and for other executive education programs.
